  • Under Consideration
Hi guys,

I was just wondering if there is a way to have an animation when hovering over or clicking a hotspot.

I have a lot of buttons (using hotspots) on my video so it would be very useful to indicate to the user which 'button' they are about to click and even which one they did click.

Many thanks,

Right now the Smart Player does not have that behavior. Thanks for the feedback, we will take it into consideration.

I would also love to see this behavior. That was one of the things our Captivate developers complained about constantly when I pushed our org to Camtasia. I'm opposed to most of that cutesy crap they litter Captivate projects with but rollover hot spots would be a HUGE plus.

For anyone reading this thread and wondering what is being talked about here, in Adobe Captivate, when you have a button (like the hotspot callouts in Camtasia) there are three images involved.

1. The button as it appears before interacting with it.
2. The button as it appears when the mouse passes over it.
3. The button as it appears when the mouse clicks on it.

For example:

By supplying the image file names Captivate knows how to deal with "animating" the buttons for the mouse interactions.

Cheers... Rick :)
