Annotations only work when produced and played back with  the smartplayer.

You can also upload just the mp4 video (if produced with the smartplayer) to Screencast.com
which is techsmith's video platform and the annotations should work.

Hi there

If you want "burned in" annotations, the link below should help with that.

And if you want to ensure they appear in their own area and don't obscure the video:

Cheers... Rick :)

I tried using the "smartplayer' to render my video but the annotations I created in Camtaia do not appear in the produced video. Are there any other options I could try.

you need to do a custom production; choose MP4 with controller

that will give you a bunch of outputted files, including the MP4, 2 html files, and 2 config files, among others

the option you chose in your screenshot only made the MP4

annotations are scripted in the config files, and displayed by the produced smart player when you launch the video with one of the html files

please try again

As kayakman asked,  you have to view your video from the html file(s) for any of the interactive features to work.

When you produce your video with the smartplayer you will have a folder with files in it.

You can drag and drop the .html file onto your browser to check out your video.

If you are uploading the video to your own site,  you have to upload the whole folder and than make your links pointing to the html file.

You can also just upload the .mp4 From the smartplayer folder to screencast.com (Techsmith's video hosting) and your annotation will work also there.
