Any upcoming updates for Camtasia?

I've been noticing a high frequency of updates for Snagit, but not for Camtasia. As a Camtasia screencast creator, I would sure love some feedback from the developers about any upcoming updates for the latest Camtasia release.

Thanks all,

At a *brief* glance, they look roughly equal.

Separate from the wholly legitimate desire for more transparency from the Camtasia Dev team, could you add more color to the lack of update parity you're seeing between both programs?

Brush dunked in can...

Update timing is a factor for sure, and my comment was about recent releases...

In looking into the update history, over a 28 day stretch, the Camtasia dev team released 5 updates, ending August 27th of this year. However, the reported incremental updates appear to be made mostly of fixes, not necessarily feature changes. It's now been almost 3 months since an incremental update either to fix issues or change a feature or two. As someone who throws a lot of data through Camtasia, I eagerly await anything new!

Over in Snagitland, it appears that app, which I use less regularly, has received new versions in each of the last 2 Octobers, with nice feature updates, including fixes within 30 days of release. Nice! There was about a 4 month stretch of no updates during the Camtasia 2019 release window, so I certainly understand resource distribution there...

I was just wondering what's on the horizon for Camtasia 2020, as the 2019 version was released April 2019, and 2018 was released June 2018. That's a 10 month full release cycle, so would we be seeing Camtasia 2020 released in February 2020? If so, that would be a gap of 6 months between the last update and the new version... A little odd, since that gap in releases has never (or more recently) occurred.

Here's to hoping the Dev Team can stoke the fire and release a new feature or fix between now and then.

...stands back and admires the colorful mess on the wall!
