It looks like Media Libraries were only available on the Windows version of Camtasia up through version 8. I cannot tell if Media Libraries are now available across both platforms with the latest release of Camtasia 9 | 3. Are Media Libraries share-able across Windows + MAC with versions 9 | 3?

There is not yet a library on the Mac version. In the mean time:

There needs to be some documentation of this:
  • "Things you create with the Library assets on the Windows side will work on the Mac side"
Our organization has created a (windows) library of standard (brand compliant) assets that WILL NOT import to the Mac version. This puts me at a decided disadvantage as I  have to request 'special consideration' from our IT group and team members.

Which, IMHO, makes me much less likely to recommend TechSmith products now or in the future. And, while the immediate issue is how to get access to standard assets already created, changes the focus from my next project to what alternatives are there to Camtasia / TechSmith?

As long as there are platform differences, TechSmith must be diligent about posting workaround details in the community site. I've seen enough apologies, and directions to download 'assets' from your webpage.

What needs to be said is how I can open the library files into a Mac project, as trying to do so generates a non-descriptive error message: "The following files are unsupported or damaged!"

A reasonable workaround is a way to import the file into a project. It's understood that the library functionality isn't there yet, but you've also forced our team into a rework effort as the team member that created the library is now required to rebuild the same assets into a project for me.

Sorry for the rant, but this needs some traction!
