Audio Scrubbing Please!

I keep hoping that Camtasia will update with Audio Scrubbing, it is by far the most important feature for efficiency that is keeping us from standardizing Camtasia as the go to recording software for those on PC's at my job. Every other piece of editing software I touch has audio scrubbing, it makes it much easier to be precise when you need to do careful edits to audio for a polished presentation. Right now I can't edit in the Camtasia editor because of the precise nature of the work that I need to do. It takes a lot more effort and time to set markers and keep playing the audio over and over again to find the right spot instead of being able to move the current time indicator and hear the audio.

My current workflow because of the lack of audio scrubbing is to render out of Camtasia and bring it into Adobe Premiere Pro to finish the job. I would love to be able to stay in the Camtasia environment, like I can with Screenflow for Mac. I was hopeful with the overhaul in Camtasia 9 that this feature would be here, but I'm sadly still waiting.

I know that there are many people coming up with pretty wild claims, but this one I agree on. I second it! Bringing the project out of Camtasia to make precise audio edits just doesn't sound good to me ... eh.

Hi and thanks for submitting your idea!

As outlined in our New Community Processes post, feature requests are open to voting up through the 1st of the month (this month is slightly different, due to the holidays) where we will then tally the votes and present the findings to our product teams. To ensure we have the most accurate data, on the 1st of the month we will be locking the threads that were listed in the Feature Request Round-up that was posted on the 15th. Once we have reviewed the submitted feature requests, our product team(s) may respond to the request, and if that is the case then that thread will then be unlocked for further discussion.

In the event that your idea is not selected for a response feel free to resubmit the idea and share it with your colleagues to garner as much exposure as possible!

Thank you again for your idea and we look forward to hearing more from you!

-Robert
