There needs to be an audio sync button that allows the user to highlight two audio clips and then syncs them based on their audio profiles.
Manually zooming into the timeline to line up audio spikes from a clapper board is unacceptable.

Hi there
I'm not sure what would be gained in this case. This seems to suggest that one is working with two audio tracks that need to be matched? And if that's the case, it's really the same audio. So why not just mute one of the audio streams and forget the sync aspect?
What am I missing?
Cheers... Rick :)

This absolutely needs to be done. Syncing multiple video tracks from multiple cameras to each other and to high quality audio recorded on one or more mics separate from the video is nearly impossible in Camtasia. Now that they are promoting this as an all-round editing program, this feature must be included.

What I mean is the audio from the camera and the audio from the recorder needing to be synced together.

why don't you just line up the audio wave forms?

You can line them up but if there are multiple video/audio clips, that is a lot of zooming in and lining up.
In premiere, you just highlight the audio from the camera and the audio from the recorder and hit the "synchronize" button.

Automatic audio sync is a great feature.
I have Premiere Pro and use the feature myself.I don't use Camtasia for that type of editing myself
Camtasia is primarily a screen recording app designed for creating tutorials and interactive instructional videos.That's what it does best.
I'm not saying that the feature wouldn't be beneficial to have.
However, Camtasia users have been requesting that TechSmith Add a basic audio Volume Level Meter to Camtasia for years.
The request has fallen on deaf ears. { Yeah, I couldn't help myself.It's the frustration of the minor request being denied}
So I'll vote yes for your Automatic Audio Synchronize. But Until we get a standard Audio Meter. Well, draw your own conclusions.
Like I said, it's been years.This is the oldest thread I could find. But I'm sure there are older requests than this. https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/what-would-be-an-excellent-addition-to-camtesia-8-is...
