Camtasia V8.3 - recorded a screen capture (15 minutes) with my webcame Logitech 920 - Half way through the audio is a few seconds off - What is that about??

And... around the 9 minute mark my voice goes into super slow motion for a few seconds!! What the heck is that about? While I can trim from the audio track to make up for the lag -- How the heck can I fix this slow motion voice!??

as I understand, this is a screen capture with web cam, as opposed to a just a clip made with the web cam [record camera tab]?

the following technique works for me ...

if it is a screen capture with web cam [made using Camtasia Recorder], you will have 2 videos on timeline; 1 is a silent screen capture, the 2nd a narrated camera clip

I'm guessing that the camera clip is longer than the screen clip?

if camera clip is longer than screen clip, right click on it and apply clip speed adjustment, something over 100, like 102

then, you can grab and drag the right end of camera clip and make it the same length as the screen clip

does that help with the audio sync issue?

after making the adjustment. even if it plays poorly in canvas, try producing

does the produced video sound OK?

Yes this is screen capture with webcam --
Both of the clips are exactly the same size ....

Wait I just checked again -- the screen capture is 1 second longer than the camera and audio   .....

I occasionally get screen captures that are longer than camera, but most are the opposite; captures w/web cam stress even the most powerful PCs; the difference in length can be caused by the time time it takes to process the 2 separate streams; also, the encoding is different for each stream

another trick to try is to separate audio from video on the camera clip [a right click option]
