Auto copy to clipbooard

I always capture screen shots with the option to add to clipboard turned on so that I can immediately paste the result into an email, chat etc.

But if I edit the image before doing so I often get caught out by forgetting to copy to the clipboard again so that my edits are included.

Given how low an overhead it would impose on system performance, my suggestion is to have an editor preference "Copy to clipboard after every edit" which is defaulted to on

I agree, something like this would be very helpful.
Another approach is to add "Copy to Clipboard" as an output that can be used in a Capture Profile.

You can already add 'copy to clipboard' to an initial capture preset.

That is different from output to clipboard AFTER the other effects of the profile are made.  "Copy to Clipboard" is done BEFORE any effects are applied.

I agree, that would be indeed time saving which was... at the origin of the product almost the main driver of the software.

Similarly, I have raised the fact that previously, there was a simple keyboard shortcut to send the whole edited picture to the profile (and that profile could be a file with a predetermined name, the clipboard and more) and that keyboard has disappeared :(.

Of course, there is still that big "copy all" button on the top right hand corner of the editor window and some people would tell you it's just one click away - not the end of the world. And that is true, but when you know for sure that the next action you'll do is an [Alt] + [Tab] to switch to where you wanna paste that picture, my hands were so used to move directly to my keyboard and not stay on my mouse...

hummm so, yep... habits to change, one more time... but I regret the concept of profiles which was really convenient.

Yes, I use the 'Capture All' button most of the time.  The problem is I often forget for the reason you stated - my focus is on the ALT+Tab key sequence and the next task, not the mouse and the Capture All button.

So this is why I would like the app to assist me especially as it require little development effort.  There's no new function needed, just the application of an existing function to a wider scope.

Did anything change regarding "Auto-copy to clipboard after each editing" option recently? Is it available in the latest version of Snagit? It would be sooo useful :)

With only 3 votes it won't get anywhere close to being introduced.

This feature is a must-have. Windows's snipping tool does have this feature already by default. Please add it, although it sounds pretty simple, but saves a huge amount of time when dealing with lot's of copying and pasting between different programs.
Thanks
