Auto-Fill in 13.1/4.1

We have a great new feature in Snagit 13.1 (Windows) and 4.1 (Mac) that we’re calling Auto-Fill. It is an extension of the Selection tool and the new Magic Wand. It’s meant to allow you to easily remove, move, resize, or copy portions of you image captures. It’s tuned for editing UI, so it works best with solid colors and gradients.
Have a button that you want to remove from a web page and want to see who it will look? Just select the area around it, make sure you have auto-fill turned on.
Have some text that you want to move and then show a colleague? Select around it with auto-fill, drag it to the desired location, and share it in an email.

Here are some tutorials to walk you through how to use the tools: Windows and Mac

On Windows (coming soon on Mac), we also have an experimental auto-fill setting that’s called Photo Quality. It does a more in-depth analysis of the image before filling and we are working on improving it going forward. It's intended for photos and complex backgrounds. If you choose to give it a try and have any recommended settings that you’ve found work, please feel free to share those with the community here. We will continue to improve it.

We’d love to hear your feedback or answer any questions about Auto-Fill. And as always, if you’re running into any bugs please contact support so we can get the details of your situation and better serve you.

Looks like an awesome feature! I'm sure it'll get used a ton!

I also liked the x.1 feature to add the details to the bottom of the image (program, date/time) I can see that being very useful for testers!

This really was a great feature. Since it's introduction, I've come to depend on it.
Now, as of build 2860 (Windows), I've come to discover that it will not work on selected areas that include or are near the edge of the original capture.

Can this be fixed?

I made a video using Camtasia that shows the autofill working with a selection well inside the capture image but failing when selecting an outer edge section. Unfortunately, I can't upload it here and I don't have share accounts accepted by this forum.
