Auto renumbering

In Snagit 2019 there is no option for automatic renumbering lists.
For example:
There are 40 numbers on an from from 1-40
Now , forgot one element and want to add a new number 1 before existing number 1. Now all other numbers should automatically step one number higher.
In the moment you have to click on each number and change the number by hand manually

It may be easier to just click and drag the step to the new location, instead of editing the step number.

But I do agree that it would be great if there could be a way to auto-adjust the numbers.

I have the same issue. It seems the program counts and once completed has no way of knowing what it just pasted in to the image. That is they just become a separate image without any knowledge the count process it just did.
While Rick has offered a work around I think you would have to move every number after the one you just moved. This could be time consuming if it's the first one and fraught with errors if I did it.

Another work around but ugly is to add a fake counter with day am a after the number e.g 4a
I don't think it's a professional way to do it and people reading or watch the steps won't be looking for a letter after the number..

At least snagit can count now a feature I used another program to do for years, and it could recount when modified.
