Automatic resizing of canvas in Snagit 11?

I am evaluating Snagit 11 for my work team to determine whether or not we should upgrade from Snagit 10. Two features that I read about on your new features page do not seem to be working, but maybe I am confused about how they *should* work.

Feature #1: According to the new features page, in Snagit 11, "When your capture pops up in the Snagit editor, the canvas now automatically creates a border around your image, giving you plenty of room to add annotations, arrows, and other effects." The screenshot displayed shows a transparent border (white space) around the captured image. I cannot seem to make this happen automatically when I create a capture; I can only resize the canvas manually. Is there a setting that I need to set in order to create this transparent border around a screenshot?

Feature #2: According to the new features page, when you "Simply copy and paste from within Snagit, and the canvas will automatically resize to the right size for your capture." I don't see this working, either. I have tried copying one Snagit capture into another, and the canvas size remains the same (pasted image extends beyond the canvas). Again I can manually resize the canvas, but I could do this in Snagit 10 already. How is this feature supposed to work? Is there a setting I need to set somewhere?

I've reviewed several tutorials and searched your documentation -- and I cannot find the answer. Please help!

I was also waiting for that feature to work & have not upgraded to 11 because it doesn't do that yet (at least not on our test machine).

Snagit - any ideas when you'll give us control over canvas size eitehr automatically or at least with a default size option?
