Automatically adding records to the timeline

Hi all,
My question is in the title : how to automatically add a record to the end of the timeline as soon as I have stopped recording and the record has been added to the media bin ?
I am not 100% sure, but I think it used to work this way in version 8.

Thank you for your help,
Patrick

Your recording will be added to your Media Bin but you will have to add it to your timeline from the Media Bin

Thank you for your answer.
I know that :-) It's the point!
In version 8, the recording was automatically added at the end of the timeline and this is the behaviour I want to get back. But I d'on't know how...

You cannot. That option has been removed from the recorder.
You could post this as an Idea and and hope it gains traction. If it does TechSmith may put the feature back.

OK, bad news.  I never understand when developers remove a feature...
Do you know if there is a easy way to add a reccoding at the end of the timeline, like a short-cut (I tried the obvious double-clic, but it doesn't work...)
Thanks.

Just an observation here, but it's not really fair to say that a feature has been intentionally removed.

I think the more accurate statement would be to perhaps say that the feature wasn't added to the new version. Now whether this was a simple oversight or was intentional, only TechSmith can say for certain.

Remember, this version of Camtasia is a total re-write and is now 64 bit.

Cheers... Rick :)

I don't totally agree with you as that feature did exist in last version. So, it has been removed.
Anyway, I am still looking for a way to quickly add the last recording at the end of the timeline.
Any idea?

Patrick

I too miss the old behavior; here is how I handle it now ...

set Recorder to the "auto" option in "do this with my recording"; this will put 1st capture to bin AND on timeline

send playhead to end of project

all following captures will then go into bin [but not on timeline]

after the next capture, select it in bin and add to timeline; send playhead to end

repeat for all subsequent captures in series
