Is there anyway to automatically save voice narrations. I don't see the need to save them every time I create one. I want to save them, the default name is fine. Is there any way to do this? Thanks

No, however.I understand why you would like that feature.
I've thought the same thing at times.

Although, if you don't want to save a narration due to an error or something else. Auto save creates a file you need to delete. That would also throw off the auto-named files sequentially and require extra steps.
I think it's a catch 22 situation. The feature would probably work in your favor more often than not.

I don't know of any current video editors that will allow you to do that. I've used a lot of programs over the years. I think it's may be one of those features controlled by industry standards?

I sometimes save audio narratives (of my recorded lectures) by (a) splitting the narrative and video tracks, (b) copying the audio track, and (c) saving it as a WAV file.

If you right click the recording in your media bin and select "Reveal in Finder" it will show you where Camtasia saves it on disk. You can then copy that file to the location you want. I would warn you, though, that if you move the file then Camtasia will not know where to find it, so be sure to copy it.

Hope that helps!
