I record video on my Nikon D610. When I listen to the .mov file in Microsoft Movies & TV (Windows 10), the audio sounds exactly correct. However, when I listed to the video in Camtasia 2019, there is a background hiss. Camtasia Noise Reduction is somewhat effective in removing it, but not without damaging the desired audio. Assuming the hiss is actually there and not being added by Camtasia, my question is, what is Microsoft Movies & TV doing to remove the hiss? And how can I replicate that in Camtasia. I know the first answer is to not record the hiss to begin with, but I have been trying to do that for years with no success.
