Batch processing?

I guess I thought that the PC and mac versions had been normalized. But I cannot find batch processing in the "file" menu as advertised in the help documents. Surely this has not been left out?

It's difficult to tell since TechSmith has not produced Mac documentation for Camtasia 9, but points to the PC documentation.

Still pretty much a Windows company?

Hi Ray, I believe you're correct, I don't see the batch functionality in mine.

I remember reading some of the goals for this release and I think the big one was to get the file formats to a place where they were interchangeable between Mac and PC. I think it's safe to say that they focused on adding features to the mac (like quizzes) that were missing in the past, as that was a big 'gap' in the mac's functionality.

I know it's a bummer that some features didn't make it for this release, but at the same time I'm glad they released it and got a version out there this year that we can all start using, rather than waiting 6 more months for a few more features to be added.

They have a good track record (In my opinion) of releasing updates after the 'major' version is released.

Version 2 saw quite a few updates, and I'm hopeful that we'll see that pattern continue with Version 3/9.

We have not implemented batch processing yet in the Mac version.

If you're willing to jump through some hoops like using Terminal and writing some shell scripts, you may find this useful: https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/using-clexporter2-10-2-with-camtasia-2-mac ... just update some of the 2s with 3s and (hopefully) it will still work.

Thanks. I'll try that. Kinda clunky though, but you know that already! I'll take "yet" as it's an obvious evolution. ScreenFlow has had this for years.
