after i ripple delete, i want to be able to snap to the seam created by the delete...but i can't

1) either enable snapping to ripple delete seams
2) I was told to split after RP...Can't there be an option to autocreate a split after doing a RD?

Ripple delete is working for me.

It auto snaps to close the gap as ripple delete should.

Have you tried closing Camtasia and starting it again?
Maybe a reboot may help?

What do they mean "not possible"?

As you can see from my gif it is possible.

Thats what ripple delete is/does.

When you make a ripple delete all subsequent clips move earlier in the Timeline to fill the gap.

No special settings I know of.

Do you have all the snapping options checked?

I'm not asking about moving the timeline

I asked about making a snapable "splits" that the playhead snaps to

When I do a ripple delete, then slide the play head, it Durant snap to where the ripple delete seam it

It doesn't split the the track in half at the ripple

Support said I have to do ripple delete then add a split if I want the playhead to snap back to where the ripple delete occurred

In your gif it made an actual split. It cut the 1 track into 2. Mine doesn't do that, it stays as 1 track. I have the latest.

When I do a ripple delete it splits the video into two segments and fills the gap.

The playhead can than snap to that split.

Is your video maybe stitching when you cut it?

You may have auto stitching on.

Go in to the preferences and under the program tab,  make sure "Enable auto-stitching" is
 UN-Checked.

Dubie Dubie Do, i love you!

Makes you wonder when a user knows more about a product than the company that supports it. as support didn't tell me about this...i even said i don't want it to auto stitch and they said i'd have to split afterwards

You should apply for a job at Techsmith!

I think maybe I'll stay on the outside looking in

But... They are only about a 4 hour drive from me.
