In Windows the default when you save is DOCUMENTS \ SNAGIT. If you have NOT saved it yet it will be found in The datastore folder ... unless you changed it as I did is
C:\Users\YOUR-LOGIN\AppData\Local\TechSmith\Snagit\DataStore, but with internal snagit filenames. Once you save them elsewhere, they disappear from the datastore folder

I use a variety of outside utilities to  move files where I want them. You can either do that or write batch files and assign hotkeys to pop your favorite path into the windows move dialog.

A small additional note: my experience is that over time there may be quite a number of these .snag files. One tends to forget them, well, at least   I  do...
Just checked, I've got roughly 70 of those files, plus maybe 15 or 20 snag.undo files.
Regretfully there is no such thing as a 'quick viewer',  so you'll have to drag them into the 'Recent' bar at the bottom of SnagItEditor (if 'Recent' has been enabled under 'View') in order to check what they are about. AFAIK there is no easier way.

From there you may decide to delete them after all (ctrl-del)

Then again, on 2nd thought, you may wish to keep some of them.
A 'Save As' requires changing name and extension - therefore probably just click the Duplicate-, then Save-, then OK- button may be faster.

The (slightly) easier way is to find the SNAG files in windows explorer then highlight (say) 10 at a time and hit enter to load them into the Snagit editor. Once they are all loaded they will appear in the library  and you can go from there.
Then you can bulk delete and or bulk save as ...
