In an older version of Snagit in the bottom left corner of the screen you used to see a running session of where you were when editing an image as you moved your mouse. for example if I had a 600 x 600 image and I moved my mouse to the exact middle the bottom lower left would say 300 x 300 , if then I moved 25 pixels to the right it would say 335 x 300. This was extremely useful if you were trying to mock up an HTML page and wanted to create an action to another page when someone click on a say a button in the image.
An example would be
<area shape="rect" coords="58,369,179,254" href="DAX Add Appraisal.html" alt="from widget"/>
I could get those coordinates 58,369 by placing my mouse on the top left corner of the button image, and then 179,254 by moving it to the lower right corner, then I just typed them into my script above.
I have asked customer service if there is a way I can go back to the old software which I do not have on this new machine. Instead I load the latest version, bummer.
