Best way to replace a word or two in Cam9?

I thought I'd find a conversation about this but I haven't found one. I created a short tutorial video with multiple trec pieces, but even so, I need to replace a word or two here and there. Do I need to delete the entire trec and record it again, losing all the editing I did or is there an easy way to record a single word or two over the top of something that exists or record a new piece in the middle of another trec? I know I can split a recording at a specific point but don't know what to do next? Thanks.

if you are referring to replacing a piece of original narration, do it with voice narration

after you have your replacement audio, just silence the original

Does that mean recording a new piece and putting it into a separate track?

If that's correct, how do you sync the tiny bit of new track with the existign piece?

That seems like a great way to create and test replacement audio. The next steps that I would do would be to split the original track before and after the silenced section, delete it, trim the new section and drag it into the original track.

Yes. However, from looking at the tracks, it appears that, while I hvae two tracks, everything is on track 2. How do I move the audio to a separate track in order to not mess with the video? Thanks.
