Right now it can be pretty hard to find the right stamp to fit my need. I'll often spend way too much time browsing between folders. And the top level folders are often empty placeholders.
I'd really like to search or have a better mechanism for browsing the existing stamps.
THIS IS A MOST USED FEATURE for many of us
Please make it easy to open the stamps viewer with a link readily available (not even 2 clicks away)
If you are use a database, the ability to assign keywords would be helpful
Optionally keep that window open or close after a selection and PLEASE code a key to quickly close it (ESC?)
Have a button on the window that pops up to go directly to the favorites folder so we can immediately access the stamps we have tweaked and saved
This is off the top of my head and there is a lot more that will fall under "interface tweaks while you're at it"
Please keep in mind that one of the core uses of snagit has been to mark up screen captures even using outside graphics. This is keeping you ahead of Faststone and other products out there
Thanks again for listening
I've somewhat overcome this by creating a stamps folder named 0001 - Often Used. The 0001 causes it to float to the top and always be listed first.
Cheers... Rick :)
For this I've learned to latterly build my own stamp folders. There was a huge change from 12-> where the stamps show up way larger and that was due to the DPI resolution.
I just went back and re-saved each .PNG 49x49 again and built my own stamp folder.
I create documentation all day long so having Blue numbers and letters together was a lifesaver for me!
Thank you all!
Here are the definitions of what the statuses mean for Ideas.

I see this was requested 2 years ago https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/quick-stamp-search but is still not in the poduct.
I confirm what the others said. it is very time consuming scrolling through all the quick stamps to find what you want. It needs a search function please.
thank you for the new version 13. Maybe, i think stamps use and managment as to be improved.
I have lots of stamps ( i buy superstamps v4 and download all the techsmith stamps). I put all of them in the stamps folder. ( all stamps are in subfolders)
It's very difficult to browse for searching a stamps ( when you don't remember in witch subfolder it is exactly).
The stamp pannel ( where i can select the one i want to use) is to small.
i clic on "organize stamps", it's better, the pannel is bigger and i
can browse the stamps faster but i can't select it using "orgainze
stamps". So i have to locate the stamps using "organize stamps" then go
back to the small stamps pannel ( in the right of the screen) to select
Not very easy.
For the more, you'll can add a "favorite stamps" bookmark
Can you do something for next update ?
i send you some screen captures of what i need
I know this is in the "planned" stage. The concern was key-wording would be cumbersome for the search. It would be nice to allow the user to build the keywords and associate them with the stamps. This allows the user more flexibility when creating their own stamps and building search keywords!
I bought super stamps. It is a very tedious process navigating the folder structure. I can't see all the wonderful stamps wihtout spending hours go back and forth on the little arrows. You need a better way to show the stamps fast and easily.
Stamp->Quick Styles: Snag-in for Mac needs the same up and down arrow category selection functionality, as the Windows version already has, as without it makes it VERY cumbersome to quickly move through the categories to preview what is in them.
When writing this topic I got this: "We found 1160 similar conversations". ;-)
However I APPEAL to TechSmith implement a Stamps Search feature!
In the meantime, I will explain an alternative Stamps search:
Follow exactly these steps:
1. Download and install Everything from: http://www.voidtools.com/
2. Start Everything and enter this into the Everything search bar:
a) If you are a user of a former Snagit version who upgraded to Snagit 13:
"C:\Users\Peter\Documents\Snagit Stamps\"|"C:\Program Files (x86)\TechSmith\Snagit 13\Stamps"
• Replace the paths with the according paths on your computer.
• Adjust the user name by replacing "Peter" with your user name.
• Add a space at the end (after the last double quote).
b) If you are a new user of Snagit and your version is Snagit 13:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\TechSmith\Snagit 13\Stamps"
• Replace the path with the according path on your computer.
• Add a space at the end (after the last double quote).
3. In Everything, open the Bookmarks menu and click on Add to Bookmarks...
Ensure that these options are selected in the Bookmark dialog:
Click on OK.
4. In Everything, in the Bookmarks men, click on the bookmark you have created in the previous step.
5. Now enter the search term after the space character at the end of the path(s) in the Everything search bar, e.g. "heart" or "vehicles", for example:
6. Now drag the desired image from Everything to the Snagit Editor window and drop it on the desired image.
If you have a variety of stamps there is no longer a good way to find and insert them into a document. The organizer is useless as you can't even insert a stamp from there.
This needs to be fixed so we can easily browse and insert stamps into documents quickly and easily
New in Snagit 2019 is the ability to type a search term or two and find the stamp you need, pronto. It even works with basic color names!
All the stamps that ship with Snagit 2019 and that are currently available for download on the TechSmith website are now searchable. If you downloaded stamps from our site prior to October 23, 2018, you’ll want to re-download them to make them searchable.
Pro tip: if you use a certain stamp often, there’s no need to search for it every time! Click the star icon to add it to your new Favorite tool and keep it handy.
(oooh, that's meta)
On Mac, you can also right-click or CTRL-click a stamp to add your own search terms to a custom stamp you create (or edit the search terms on any stamp). That functionality is not currently available on Windows.
Thanks to all who voted for this idea in our community feature request round-up. Let us know how you're using stamps to communicate more quickly and clearly! And if you have feedback on the search terms, let us know; we expect to refine the keywords over time.
I gave up on that one.
Next I flipped the coin and went for the positive symbols:
Search is only as good as the keyword tagging, which needs to be accurate and comprehensive. From my limited testing it appears to be neither. If I have to spend time thinking about and entering multiple search terms then search is no good to me. I can't waste time trying to imagine what wacky keywords the person(s) or machine used to tag an image.
I note the Mac version has the ability to add/edit keywords and that might be coming to the Windows version. Seriously, why? You want me to correct the bad keywords? Seriously?
Nice concept. Poor implementation. For a search function, somone needed to sit down and check the tags. Shame no-one did.
I understand your frustration. Hopefully, it will get fine-tuned.
At the very least, I would be ecstatic if the ability to add our own keywords is included with the Windows version of Snagit and not just MAC. (ASAP please!)
