I have an audio and I need to bleep out certain parts of the information due to privacy.  How can I add a bleep, static or something to the audio parts.

you can silence the unwanted sections

using Camtasia 2018?

make a timeline selection across ubwanted section; open audio properties on right side; select the target clip, a green line will show on the clip; drag the line all the way down; that section will now be silent

After you've silenced it, you can add any sound you like to fill the dead air.

You've been making these short "how to's", on the fly for as long as I've been here and they are GREAT !!   I never had the good sense to copy your screen cast URL's & descriptions until now.  Would you happen to have saved a listing of all your Camtasia snipets?
