Hello, I'm having trouble with webcam video and audio that is out of sync. I've read a lot about it here. But I want to know: is it normal to have 400 to 700 dropped frames when you are recording with webcam size 320 x 240 and USB headset attached on a brandnew Dell latitude E7440 with SSD and still have audio and video getting out of sync after a few minutes? I already disabled GPU acceleration. Thanks Robbert

Hello,
To be honest. I think your new computer has a processor that is not up to the task of Video Recording.
A two core Processor with only 2.1 GHz is incredibly underpowered by todays standards. It's possible that the web cam is just to much along with the Recorder.

I'm not sure which version of Camtasia you are running but this is the minimum requirements listed below for version 8. Meeting min. system requirements is not usually not a good thing.

I was curious about the performance ratings of your CPU.

This is what I found. To me that's your problem. But I'm not a tech guy.

I just caught the fact that you appear to only have 8097 MB of physical memory. I find that hard to even believe! That's under 1 GB of RAM. That is well below the 2GB RAM memory requirements of Camtasia.
Your Specs are disappointing to say the least. I'm still a little shocked. Sorry to say it but, if it's not to late. Return that thing to the store that dumped it on you.
Regards and good luck
