Bring back the Fade Out option for Annotations in Camtasia 2018

Please, please, please bring the 'Fade Out' property for Annotations to Camtasia 2018. I use this property every time I add an annotation. Draw time alone is not sufficient. The workarounds proposed are ridiculously time consuming.

While it may look different, the ability to fade any drawing or text object onto and off of the timeline is a simple drag and drop operation of the 'fade' transition. It works well for me. Not sure if this is what you mean by "workarounds" - this is the new way to add a fade (or any of the other cool effects now included) to an object. Once its added, you can drag the fade portion of the effect to the duration you like with 1 second being the default just as the old version of Camtasia was. Drag the fade into the middle of your object to make it fade in and fade out, or drag/drop it on the front or back end. Whats not to like or what functionality do you miss? maybe someone else can offer advice.

The only thing that annoys me about the new functionality is that (especially with short objects) it is WAY too easy to end up grabbing the transition instead of the end of the object when you want to resize it.

Most of my annotations come from my library with the fade out or other effect already added. If I could have one change wish relating to this, it would be an option (I emphasise, option) to have the transition locked so that it would need to be manually unlocked if you want to change it. (Which, in my case, I don't 99.9% of the time.)

Well,
what I liked about the old feature?

Is you didn't have to do a thing. All my callouts fade In and Out.
So having to apply them manually is an extra step.

Sketch Motion Callouts draw on and fade Out. Adding the fade is another wasted step.
I didn't have to that before either.

Regards,Joe

I concur with Joe. It's an extra step.
