Bug - v12 broken profiles on full screen and fixed region.

Several of my profiles are set up for silent, full screen capture.

With the new version not only do we have the annoying "confirm that you really want a to take a picture" every single time, the profiles for full screen capture (old as well as newly build one in v12) requires me to select a region to catpure.

Second the fixed region profiles also require me to select something instead of using the prededfined settings which I use for communication with my VA which has a different screen size I need to respect.

Hi Nicole,

Thanks for your feedback.

Sorry that the changes made things frustrating for you. We're always trying to make our products more usable and intuitive, but there's always friction between what works best for which people (e.g. new vs. seasoned users, heavy vs. light use, etc.). And there's always things we need to improve, so we do appreciate knowing what's not working.

However, it does sound like the profiles are not functioning for you as intended. I did run through the scenarios you mentioned, but they "worked for me." So, I'm assuming something odd is going on here.

Could you create a tech support ticket so we can track down the problem? https://support.techsmith.com/anonymous_requests/new

Also, while it's no longer the default, I set up an image-only profile with hot-key to avoid image-vs-video choosing of the all-in-one capture when I don't want it.

Hi Conan, I have currently no intention in investing any more time with v12.

"Also, while it's no longer the default, I set up an image-only profile with hot-key to avoid image-vs-video choosing of the all-in-one capture when I don't want it."

I find it troublesome, that you as a User Experience Designer for snagit consider using 2 profiles a normal test case, but it would explain why everybody repeats "oh just to a hotkey!", acts surprised and nobody catched the new friction problems..

People who are complaining here do not have 2 profiles, they have many and hotkeys are no option for productivity. New friction was introduced without removing this. What is next, removing key support and forcing people to go through that capture thing at the top.

Btw I have made a screenshot of this posting to avoid loosing also time for answering here and then having my messages removed.
