Buggy beta - unable to edit uploaded screenshot

Its not always easy to select/open a screenshot in the library. When you click the screenshot, all it does is check the box instead of displaying the screenshot and allowing you to edit or rename it. Very bad UX.

Dumb question:  Did you try double clicking? In the library, double clicking any image opens it in the Editor.

Yes, I did several times. Only thing that result from that is the check box gets checked. Trying is hit and miss for images but never work for animated gift or videos. All I was trying to do is get to tge edit screen so that I can rename the file from the default untitled file name.

Hi folanfola1-web,

It sounds like you are using the Beta Library. If that is not true, let me know. In the Beta Library, if you switch to the Details view, you can easily edit the file names. Here is a help article on using the Details view to manage your content: https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/235678748-Beta-Library-Content-Details-View

If you need anything else, please let me know!

Thanks,

Guy

@Guy - Thanks for your response that was spot on. That worked. BTW - Techsmith should really see this as a usability issue. It is clearly not very intuitive. Most users are used to double-clicking the media item which should trigger the detail mode to allow for media item to be edited. Why the need to click an icon that is almost hidden out of view in order to perform simple user task such as this?

thanks
