Dear Community,
I tried to break down my problem to managable pieces. I know that Camtasia is not made for my purpose, but its functions really got me close to it. If we could work this out it Camtesia would be such an easy way to build mini interactive embedded websites/apps... whatever you want to call it.
Thanks for your efforts!
Scenario
There was a conference with 2 sessions, each with 2 speakers, each of which put forward some content.
What I want to build!
I want that the user can access the content of each speaker like an app.
*1st frame: Users selects the session he is interesed in.
*Next Frame: the user selects which of 2 speakers of that session he is interested in.
*NExt Frame: FInally the user can see what the speaker said.
*Bk to prior frames: User can go back to the overview of the session
How I built it thus far!
So, the first frame/minivideo has 2 callouts that have a hotspot function (thus they work like a buttons). Each callout represents a conference session 1 and 2. THe user can select between the callouts.Lets say, the user clicks on session 2 --> now the video jumps ahead via the hotspot function to minute x:xx, where the frame/"mini-video" is for session 2.
The frame/minivideo of session 2 shows the names of the speakers of session 2; so its actually just a list; as both names are also callouts with hotspot functions, the user can choose 1 of the 2 speakers. After the user selects a speaker, the video jumps again to the frame/mini-video that summaries the speakers presentation.
To jump back to the session overview or speaker list of lets say session 2 I added callouts that are also hotspots that jump bk to the relevant part of the video.
So some videos are just there to guide users to content and others hold the actual video content
Result
The video works like a little knowledge plattform app.
Problem
Lets say the user sees the first frame/mini-video, which essentially is just a list of the 2 sessions embodied in 2 callouts with a hotspot function. Now the problem comes: if the user just clicks into the canvas and NOT on 1 of the callouts the movie just continues to the next mini movie, which in this case is overview of session 1.
I want that the user uses only the hotspots to navigate and not the linear play function of the movie.
Problem Question
Can I force the user to navigate a video only via hotspots?
Or alternatively can I turn every mini-video - that make up the whole movie - into an infinite loop so the user can not go to the next mini-movie?
