I had a great conversation with Tech Support yesterday. It appears that the combination of SnagIt and Screencast are a perfect fit for my business...if I can find a solution to one issue. Because our company’s work requires data retention for 5 years of our work product, I need to keep a copy of our research on file. Since it is important information, it needs to be backed up and we can’t rely solely on keeping a copy on the Screencast server. Each project will require saving potentially hundreds of screenshots. With the possibility that a staff member could delete files after the project is complete, we would need to back-up the data to another source. When I spoke to Tech Support, it sounds like the screenshots could be downloaded, but currently only one-by-one. For our needs, a bulk download option is probably the only way that the SnagIt and Screencast combination makes sense for our business since the labor that would be involved to download each file individually would be more expensive than our current process. Is there a bulk download option that will be available in Screencast in the near future, and if so, when? If this is not on the drawing board, please consider this since there are probably other businesses that may be experiencing the same need that could become potential customers. Thanks.

Based on your feedback we are working on prototyping a bulk download option for Screencast.com. Please watch this short video which demonstrates an implementation idea.

The bulk download feature was published today at 3:30 EST. You can try it out in the beta library.

Some browsers perform better than others when handling multiple downloads. For example, Google Chrome will ask you if you want to "Allow" or "Deny" multiple downloads. By allowing this all files will be downloaded automatically.

By default Internet Explorer will prompt you if you want to "Open" or "Save" each individual file.

We welcome any feedback that you might have on this feature.
