If you open a new project, go to "File", "Edit",  "Preferences", "Partners Tab" - two possible drive changes there. And "File", "Edit",  "Preferences", "Advanced Tab" - change temp storage there.

I would be nice to have an installation item to choose a preferred data drive and take care of everything before we start even ourtfirst project.

Do you have the "Recorder's" Temporary Folder set to another drive?

I have mine set to my "D" drive to a folder I named Camtasia Temp Files. It works for me.
If I look in that folder while recording and check it's properties. It has content. After I close the recorder, that folder is empty.
