C9 - Change default colours of Canvas and Environment

For Camtasia 9 Windows

1. Need the ability in Preferences to set default canvas colour to white so we do not have to change the canvas colour every time we create a new project from black to white.

2. The option to change the GUI colour to a light one would be useful. The light text on dark background plays havoc with the eyes as I see ghosting lines when I look away from the screen.

good suggestions

but for what it's worth, I'll pass this along ...

very early in CS9 beta testing [2 years ago], there was a version of the GUI that was very light in color [almost white], pared with dark text; and, as I recally, there was an option to choose a dark or light background

I found the light version to be unusable; the glare from so much light background was extremely hard on my eyes

my main problem with the current GUI is that all the text is extremely small on my 1920x1080 monitor, making much of it extremely hard to read, especially after a full day of screencasting [or a few glasses of wine]

Hi Kayakman,

Hope that wine goes down well.

I understand that glare could be an issue (I spend a lot of time at the screen myself). That's why I want the choice to be able to use whichever one suits.

Now that you mention it,  maybe that is what my issue is - not so much the colouring but the fact that the type is tiny on my 1920x1080 monitor and I have to squint to see it (or move closer to the screen which cricks my neck). The OH&S people will be on my back if they knew I did that LOL

Ok, so thinking about text size, maybe Techsmith, you could try rolling out the ability to increase font size and see if that solves my issue?
