C9 December Bonus Pack Missing?

Just bought the upgrade from Camtasia 8-9.3. The promised pack is nowhere to be found! Received confirmation of Purchase email, then....nothing. Found a related MAC thread, which takes me no further forward because it deals mainly with installing  the software. It's available until 31st Dec, so I hope I get a link before that.

Thanks for the reply; alas, I'm no further forward, despite the links. I'd read the thread you linked. It's mainly concerned with extracting and installing the files from the .zip. There are a few people in that thread who've also not received the link and are therefore in the same position as me. No help provided there by contributors.

The other link, with user-posted assets, is good to have, so thank you! Obviously, it's not really what I was after, but I do appreciate the help. I guess I'll have to contact Support, too. Thanks again.

Have contacted support; if successful in locating the download, will post the workaround here.

One link was for user posted assets and the other was a how to install.  Support was able to help me but, for obvious reasons, the link provided will not be posted.

These are guess, based on my experience.

1.  Be sure C9 software key is registered.

https://myaccount.techsmith.com/MyProducts/Software

2. Install C9 (<< big guess)

3. If the above have been completed or you don't want to install yet, open a ticket.  https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/requests/new .  If you are delaying an install, explain that in the initial ticket.  In all cases you will need to provide the registered C9 software key.

Remember, this pack is for C9 not CS8 or earlier.

The link to download the additional assets is sent separately from your purchase receipts from our online store. When the email arrives it will have the subject "Welcome to Camtasia! Plus bonus video assets!"

From a technical standpoint, these emails are sent from a separate service which runs every few hours. We realize that it would have been better to have an all-in-one email, but we weren't able to pull that off in time for the promotion.

Just to help you understand here is my timeline.

  • November 2 C9 upgrade purchased
  • November 3 email with subject, "Welcome to Camtasia" received
  • December 21 email with subject "Bonus for upgrading Camtasia before Dec 31" received containing the comment  "(delivered via email after purchase)" in the body.
  • December 21 this thread was opened by Robert prompting me to open a support case.
  • December 21 Mike helped me obtain the bonus pack
  • Future date "Welcome to Camtasia! Plus bonus video assets!" email will be received.

Other specifics.

My C9 upgrade was purchased directly from Techsmith and was registered.  C9 has not yet been installed. (Need to wait until the visibility "issues" are resolved so I will be able to use.)

Hi, I'm completely satisfied with TechSmith's resolution of my problem, so here's what happened.

Firstly, they apologised to me and admitted that things could have gone better ;-) Then they mailed me a link to the assets.

All I had to do was contact support, with an explanation such as you've provided, above. The matter was resolved the same day. Hey presto!

Your case is same as mine. Hope they will provide the link as they promised. Purchased already, still waiting for the email.
