Callout Pointer Sizing Points

Why would you remove a feature? I use the Callouts feature on my Snagit LITERALLY everyday to document or train during IT development. We used to be able to grab two little dots on the inside corners of the pointer that allowed it to be resized. You guys removed that feature. Please bring it back. If the callout is a a good distance from the thing it's pointing to then the arrow gets huge at the Callout end.

I hate to ask obvious questions here, but you have clicked the callout to give it focus, no?

The image you share depicts a callout that doesn't have focus. And the points are there, but will not appear unless the callout has focus.

Cheers... Rick :)

Hmmm, it seems that these may be related to the callout shape you are using. The one you show is missing these points while this one has them.

Rick, I am using SnagIt 2019.1.1 on Windows 10. I don't see the resizing handles in the callout even thought it has focus.

Seems you missed my earlier second response.

Whether the pointers are present seems to be related to the callout shape. And yep, this shape doesn't have those points.

Only TechSmith can say why some shapes offer them and others don't. ;)

Cheers... Rick :)

Rick, my apologies. I do see that not all the callout shapes have the resize handles. Weird.

For what it's worth, here is a list of the callout shapes that are identified as having additional control points.

Those shaded in red do not support them while those shaded in green do. At least, on my own Windows PC they do. I suppose the standard caveat of "your mileage may vary" may apply here.

Happy Friday all... Rick :)
