Suddenly when I insert a Callout, after adding text the Callout seems to become flattened and is not an object any longer? Have I triggered something in SnagIt that controls this?

Hi Rick, most likely the Create as Vector option is disabled.

Hi David

Wallaby Darned! That was it! Thanks so much.

That's an odd one. Have no clue how that even got changed.

Cheers... Rick :)

I have used SnagIt for more than 5 years and love it.
I found a problem today I've never seen.
Using SnagIt 9.0, I enter text in a text box.
As soon as I step off the box, it is flattened.
I have the capture saved as a .snag file, but the text has been flattened!
I can undo, but if I save (as a .snag) and go back in, none of the text is editable.
Have you faced this? Did you determine what the problem was?
We are looking at an unistall/re-install. I would like an easier solution!

Thanks,
Vicki

When I draw a callout, the object seems to "lock" preventing me from editing it again. I cannot select it all all, not to edit the text nor to move the object. Is there some sort of object locking feature that I need to turn off? All other objects are still movable, stell "selectable". Your input would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you very much. That wsa exactly the issue I was experiencing. Not sure why this feature is set as a default for callouts and not for other objects.

But I must say I am very impressed at the speed with which my question got answered. Very little interruption to my project. I'd been struggling with this issue for a while and now I realize I should have posted my question ages ago. Thank you, thank you.

My create as Vector option is enabled and my drawings are still auto-flattening which is very frustrating when I need to go back and edit the drawing and I am not able to edit.
