Cam 9 - badly distorted video output

Having only just upgraded - and paid for - Camtasia 9, I'm having a total nightmare trying to get a decent image played back in MP4 format.  I've checked the resolution of recording, editing and production - all at 1920 x 1080 - still no joy.   Below images from "before" and "after"
What on earth am I doing wrong here - is anyone else suffering this - better still has anyone else over-come this.
Help !   This may result in my PC exiting the building via an unconventional route.
regards,   Stuart

Hi Stuart;

This is certainly not expected. What production option are you using? What are the recording and editing dimensions? Are the source files in the project Camtasia Recorder files, or are they imported media files? Do you have the production stored online somewhere (like Screencast or YouTube) that I may take a look at it?

Hi
Re the settings:
Project settings are 1080p (1920 x 1080)
Saving to Local storage - MP4 with Smart Player (up to 1080p)
Dimensions: 1920 x 1080 (Editing Dimensions)
I've uploaded to our Wistia Account - URL is
https://spi.wistia.com/medias/1aefhhryb3

The file is a recording made directly using Camtasia

To be fair once rendered and stored in Wistia the quality is better but still in no way acceptable for putting in on-line guides or knowledge base.
I'm beginning to think there's something amiss with my Laptop !

Any thoughts?

Hi there;

What media player are you using to see that distortion?

I am viewing the video from the Wistia link on FireFox and it looks fine to me. The recording is size large so I can't see everything until you zoom in, however, once you zoom, the text is clear and the colors seem good to me.

Hi - just plain old Windows Media Player.   Checked the most updated driver is installed - troubleshooter detects no problems.   I had a little think in the wee small hours this morning and have come into the office an downloaded VLC Media Player.  Hey Presto - this works a treat.   Looks like this is a local Windows Media file issue.
For any other users out there looking for something other than WMP - VLC looks like a great FREE alternative
Thanks for the assistance Robert et al,   Stuart
