Cam 9 is as buggy as all get out

This version is buggy!  It won't play WAV files. My employee can't get it to save.  Glad we didn't uninstall 8.  I get that the new UI will take some time to figure out, but man is it a headache so far.

Hello Robert

This is certainly not the expected behavior; did you open a support ticket so our dedicated support team can investigate your problems and come up with a solution, or barring that, let the developers know of the issue so corrective action can be made? If you have opened a ticket through the appropriate channel, would you mind sharing your ticket ID number so I might look it up?

I haven't had any issues since upgrading to CS9.   I can play .wav files and everything saves just fine.

I tried "repairing" the installation. It didn't work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and same problem. I try downloading the trial again.

I have had some buggy issues as well. Video and sound down line up when playing along the timeline, hard to target specific points to edit because of this.

I had that problem with MP3s in Camtasia 8, so I changed my MP3s to WAV.  Ironic, no?

I have precisely the same issue.  If I import the audio as an MP3, it will work fine.  If I attempt to use it as a WAV file, it won't play and the waveform does not appear on the track.

I have noticed that some WAV files won't play in 9, which would play in 8

I'm having all kinds of issues with v9 as well. They sold us a bug-infested BETA build as a release and didn't even give us the courtesy to mention up front that the Trial has a watermark on the render. That means most users are going to TRY it on work projects, only to be forced to upgrade just to get their work out.

NEWS FLASH, TechSmith! What if I run into scores of bugs and want to wait until a stable release is offered, before upgrading? If I do that, I cannot get my work out of v9...you block me from getting my work out of 9!!! That's a petty move, TechSmith. I paid for an upgrade that I regret because I didn't have a reasonable opportunity to try it for 30 days on normal work projects, to see if it would hold up.

Hi Robert!

I just looked up your email and found a ticket that Jason responded to on Wednesday (ticket ID #275689) around 4:00 PM EST. Could you check your spam / junk folder? The ticket number should be in the Subject of the email, perhaps you could search for 275689 and it will show up?

I got that email, loaded the file as requested. Jason was prompt in response to the ticket submission, but I haven't heard anything back after loading the file. Perhaps the load didn't work? That was around the time the cyberattacks seemed to impact things. It did confirm the load, though.

Thanks for clarifying, I do see in here where Jason asks to be notified that the file has been uploaded; it's entirely possible that he doesn't know the file is there. I will update your ticket to let him know that the file is up there and I'm confident he will get to it as soon as he is able.

I glad I am not the only one experiencing issues. I've had to go back to 8 because somethings are just not working anymore in 9
