I recorded a turtorial on my computer using camtasia recorder and saved it successfully. I actually did 5 separate ones, and now the 2 largest files (200 megs) will NOT open inside camtasia studio. When you import it will show the file (with no preview). When you drag it to the timeline, nothing happens. When you right click and "add to timeline" nothing happens. When you try to "extract the contents" nothing happens as well.

I am using 6.0 but have tried 3 different computers with 7.1 as well, and the same thing happens.

Hi Blake,

We have a new version of Camtasia Studio (8.0) that just came out. We have addressed a lot of issues with importing media files. Give it a try and let us know if it solves your problem.

The 30-day trial is fully functional and can be installed alongside existing versions of Camtasia Studio. You can learn more about the new version here:
