Hi,
I am using PC which has config as below, and installed Camtasia 2020.
When I created a video with some screen record(total about 3munites),
it's often crashed while other applications still work normally.
I tried the following ways but it still happens.
 1. Restart PC2
 2. Update to the latest Camtasia version
Could you please show me how to handle it.

[PC config]
Toshiba dynabook version 1.30 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8350U CPU @ 1.70GHz(8CPUs), ~1.9GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Window 10 Pro 64bit

Thanks and regards,

Good morning - sorry to hear your are experiencing these problems!

First I want to make sure that you're running version 2020.0.2, which contains a couple of fixes for crashes that we know about. If not you can download it at: https://www.techsmith.com/download/camtasia/

If that is the version you're running, please submit a ticket at https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us - unfortunately as that page indicates our support people are very busy these days due to increased demand for TechSmith products so it might be a couple of days before you hear back.

There's an upcoming maintenance version (2020.0.3) which fixes a few more crashes that also might help with your problem, that will be coming out soon. In the meantime, it is possible to download version 2019 here: https://www.techsmith.com/download/oldversions and your 2020 license key will work in that. I know that it's not a satisfying answer to fix the issue but if version 2019 does work it will A: at least get you going so you can get some work done and B: be a useful data point when our support folks get to your ticket.

Hi Clint

Thanks for your prompt response

I am definitely installing version 2020.0.2
I've logged the ticket according to your instructions.
Temporarily I will install the old version of 2019 after trying again a bit,
and update to 2020.0.3 when it is released.

Besides, I want to confirm whether my configuration as above is affecting this crash or not.
Below are the requirements for Camtasia 2020

Regards,

I don't think it has anything to do with your machine specification as stated, nothing there jumps out at me. Updating your video card driver to the latest version is always a good first troubleshooting step, as video card manufacturers have gotten better at supporting OpenGL over time.
