Camtasia 2018.0.1 Crash

Camtasia 2018 crashes too frequently while editing. When I drag a file from media bin to timeline, it crashes.

Can you tell us about your computer;s specifics? MOBO BIOS, Mem, AMD or Intel, Video Card, the more specific you are, the better someone might recognize recurring problem.

Mine crashes when I try to add media - full stop (sorry pun). Running 6th gen i5/16gb/win10. Tech support no help so far.

Same here, just hangs for minutes at a time (spinning circle) when moving a 1.5gb MP4 into the track section. Surface Book 2 8gb RAM, Camtasia 7 didn't have this problem that i upgraded from.

I've been having windows 10 filing / caching problems independent of camtasia, but it may be related.
Flush the cache! I use Mark Russinovich's Sync.exe to flush data drives before back-ups or large data transfers. Sync must be run from the command prompt and from a drive you are NOT flushing: Syntax is "sync d" where d is the drive you're flushing as its executed from any other drive.
