Camtasia 2018 crashes too frequently while editing. When I drag a file from media bin to timeline, it crashes.

Same here, just hangs for minutes at a time (spinning circle) when moving a 1.5gb MP4 into the track section. Surface Book 2 8gb RAM, Camtasia 7 didn't have this problem that i upgraded from.

When you start moving the 1.5gb MP4, how much ram is available? Task Manager, More Details, Performance, Memory - leave it open in the background as you move the MP4 onto a track. Alt Tab to TaskMan immediately after the drag.

I find it crashes frequently when trying to drag media into the timeline or when trying to drag media across different tracks.

If you run "Belarc Advisor" (free) it'll report everything about your hardware & software.
If you copy and paste the hardware stuff and get back to us, someone may notice something? Also include Camtasia version number but take care NOT to include software serial numbers!
