Can I select a section of a video by specifying the position numerically? For example, I want to select a small portion from 00:48:39:00 to 00:48:40:20. Can I type in these timeline numbers somewhere?

If so, where?

Yeah, this is a good question. I'm getting tired of only being able to select itty-bitty frames using the playhead. I can't get it exact unless I zoom way in on the timeline. This does not work well for lengthy selections. A way to set playhead locations and selection would be welcome.

Unfortunately, no you cannot.

You could use the Shift key + Comma or Period. This will expand a selection to the left or right respectfully.
However, Theres no keyboard combination I'm aware of, to contract the selection.

Thanks, DBD, Joe ... no way to select via direct-typing the timeline values.  That's odd.

And yes, later in my project, I'm going to need pinpoint selection of some long passages. This is the first that I've needed pinpoint selection. My life is going to be slow slow slow over the next while.
