Camtasia 2018 - is there a way to do a search and replace on text?

 My boss wants all quotes turned into smart quotes so I'm having to walk through all the videos, delete the old straight quotes and insert Alt-0147 and Alt-0148 to insert the smart quotes.  Tedious!  Anyway to do this with a search and replace?  Or is there a way to make it default to inserting smart quotes originally?  Thank you.

interesting; I've never heard of "smart quotes"

do you still have the projects? in zipped format [which I assume]

then you can open the tscproj file,with an app like free Notepad++, and use find/replace [or find, manual replace] to do the job; in many instances, can be much faster that scrubbing around the timeline

I will point out that there is a bug with new style callouts where after changing the text in the tscproj, they do not display the text properly [sometimes] in the canvas, especially if you've added bore characters; when that occurs, deleting/re-adding 1 character usually fixes the display;

the find/replace method is not recommend/supported by TechSmith, but I've used it for many years [callouts, markers, captions, etcv], and it has always saved me a ton of time

with CS2018, when the project is loaded/open, you can edit the tscproj file with Notepad++, save those changes, but even with the save, the Camtasia editor will not see those changes; however, a quick reload of project refreshes the timeline/canvas accordingly

perhaps give it a try?

work with a copy of the tscproj file just to be safe
