Camtasia 2019.0.10 and Memory Leaks

When I do hundreds of cuts with ctrl+X editing a video, I see how Camtasia eats memory.  For a 10-20 minutes video, Camtasia, in the end, eats 2-3 gigabytes. Is that normal? More than that, if I open another project, I see the same memory consumption. Is that OK? Only closing and opening the program helps to free RAM.

No, it's not OK. But it is the current norm. Been that way for years and there are tons of posts about it. The longer the video, the more cuts, the more memory wasted and the slower editing goes.

you can save more memory by making an interim production to avi or mp4, then using that to continue editing

just be sure that you've added any cursor effects and/or auto generated keystroke callouts before proceeding to produce; leave any interactive content to the end of editing
