Camtasia 2020 - can I add keyboard keystroke click sounds?

Hi everyone,

Maybe I am dreaming, but I seam to recall previous versions could add keyboard keystroke click sounds (similar to mouse click sounds).

Can this be done in Camtasia 2020?

If so, how do I do it?

Regards,
Leigh

Yes, even if you recorded with the mouse clicks off, you can add  them as an effect, post-recording. Just go to the "Cursor Effects" section, choose either the 'left click' or 'right click' category and drag the 'click sound' effect to the clip. I drag it on the 'screen recording' clip, not the audio one. I think the screen recording track records when the clicks occurred. I just tested this in Camtasia 2020 and it works.

Thanks Cristi.

I have had no problem with the mouse click sounds.
What I am looking for is sound effects for keyboard keys, so there is some sort of clickity-click sound that coincides with typing the keys.

I'm not aware of any free asset that ships with Camtasia. You may want to check TechSmith Assets to see if that's a sound effect that you could use in Camtasia.

Also, you may wish to google keyboard sound effects and just import that audio file in the parts of your video where you want that sound.

Thanks, Paul, for your comments.
I must have been dreaming!
It's not a deal breaker for me.
But it would be a nice feature.

I thought this feature (keyboard sounds) was available in previous versions as well
