Camtasia 3 for Mac will not stop adding markers to timeline

Camtasia v3 for Mac: Every single time I try to select clips on my timeline, it adds a marker. So very incredibly annoying. I am constantly having to delete them.

Version 2 for Camtasia Mac did not do this. Please, please change this back to how it was before - makes the software almost unusable. Maybe under the Marker / Quiz option, add a neutral position? People are not always wanting to add markers or quizzes. Most times I am moving clips to a new position or editing them, not adding markers.

You can turn off the Marker/Quiz mode by click on the button just above the drop down.

Control-M will also toggle you in and out of Marker mode.

How do I mark this as "Solved" or answered?

Honestly, I do not know how a regular user does that.  I marked it as "Solved" for you.

Also, if you have the Marker Track turned on, you can click the bottom half of the clip to select it. Only the top half of the clip is the Marker Track.

yeah this drove me crazy too ... but markers are really useful, and most times I keep it turned on and just train my brain to click the bottom half of a track so it won't place a marker I don't want ... when I'm working in a mode I know I won't ever want a marker -- then I turn it off.  I love the feature of being able to autogenerate a TOC from markers.  Especially if your videos run a bit long, this is quite useful ....
