Camtasia 8.6
Windos 10/64

recording picked up a ton of noise
on a skype call and my voice was
really loud and others' voices were
very quiet

I selected "enable volume leveling"
and
"enable noise reduction"

the video will NOT produce

I've tried producing directly to youtube,
to my computer, to a google drive and
each time, Camtasia 8.6 just crashes

the video had been produced and
shared.  after the audio edits, I can't
get it to work

any suggestions?  the video is pretty
much useless as is

thank you

I've experienced similar crashes with audio edited in longer programs.  My workaround has been to separate the tracks for the different voices and increase the volume on the low voices.  Noise reduction in Camtasia 8.6 is hit-or-miss (and I hear it is no better in Cam9 or 2018).  After you have the levels worked out, export one huge WAV file, correct the noise in Audacity or a similar editor, then save as a new WAV file and import as a single audio layer.  (WAV is preferable to MP3 for this kind of surgery because the file has higher fidelity due to being uncompressed.)
