Camtasia 9.1.2, making manual labor great again

Do you like to do everything yourself? Are you annoyed by features that save you time and frustration? Is actually creating content just a nice-to-have? Do you prefer style over function? If you said yes, Camtasia 9.1.2 may be right for you.

Here are some of its great "do-it-yourself" features:

You can't extend a frame. Well, you can, as long as there's nothing to the right of it on the track. You can just click the right edge and drag it. If you do have other clips to the right, Camtasia won't just push them over. That's a manual process, too.

Rendering is a manual process. If you use markers, Camtasia hangs when rendering. The only way around it is to manually render each section of the timeline. In other words, markers are purely cosmetic.

But wait, there's more!  Even when trying to render one section at a time, Camtasia will still sometimes freeze. This means spending extra time manually toying around with your tracks, trying to figure out why it's not working.

regarding producing or rendering with markers, that process works very well, regardless of how you so so ... all markers at once or 1 marker segment at a time

if you are having issues when rendering projects with markers, then something is most likely wrong with the project

recommend you contact free tech support and allow them to help sort it out

The project doesn't seem to be the problem. I produced the video to a single mp4. I then took the mp4, made a new project, set the markers, and tried to render. It froze in the exact same spot. It's definitely something related to the markers.

I downgraded to 8.6 and everything works great now. The one good thing I can say about 9.1.2 is that the Recorder works well. Thankfully you can use 9.1.2 Recordings in 8.6 Studio.

I've made hundreds of CS9 productions with markers; no issues

when a project freezes during a production at the same place, that usually suggests a project corruption at that % on the timeline

perhaps contact free tech support for assistance

I have the same problem.  Sadly there isn't a way to fix it. except by paying for a 99 dollar upgrade to the 2018 version of camtasia.

I'm curious ...

what is "the same problem" you are experiencing?

why do you say "there isn't a way to fix it"?

how specifically does "2018 version of camtasia" address/fix the issue?
