Hi there!;

What format are the videos you are trying to import? Where did they originate from? If you take a test recording using Camtasia (say, of a YouTube video) then import that into a new project, do you have the sync issue?

First off give this link a try for support
https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us

Secondly,
You can have both version 8 and 9 installed on the same machine
Many here do just that as each version has it's pros and cons.

You can get ver. 8 here and use your ver. 9 key to activate 8

Lastly have you tried doing a custom production?
It allows much more control.

I have found that using the mp4 preset doesn't always do the best job.

Glad it all worked out !!

I just always do a custom production anymore.
The presets seem to always produce a lesser quality video and a larger file size.

I took the videos with my iPhone and then imported the files as .mov. I did this before and it worked. And now it's not working.

Hello Kitty;

What framerate did you capture your content at on the iPhone (it would be in the iPhone's Camera settings)?

Hi Kitty;

Those settings should result in a file that works; can you please open a support ticket so we can look into this for you?

Hi Kitty;

This is the community forum, for dedicated technical support you will need to open a ticket at https://support.techsmith.com/ If you already opened a ticket do you have your ticket number available (it would be in the subject line of the email that you get from our ticketing system).

I had something similar happen in Camtasia, where is played fine in preview, but when I published it there was significant lag time between the audio and video.  I had to make sure that the SCORM box was checked and then it worked fine.

Were you uploading your content to a Learning Management System?

If not, I'd be very surprised that checking the SCORM box would actually do anything. That check box governs whether the output is being prepared to be uploaded to a Learning Management System using the SCORM protocol.

If you weren't using LMS, my own guess is that the SCORM check box was more of a red herring and simply creating the output again somehow resolved things.

Cheers... Rick :)

The tech support guys uploaded the files and said there was an issue with the codec and that they needed to be downloaded into a different software that could convert the codec.  However, the SCORM box seemed to fix it without having to do that.
