Camtasia 9: Automatic Left/Right Trim

Hello all,

I would like to know if there is a way to automatically left and/or right trim audio tracks. Currently, I am manually splitting audio tracks before the audio begins and just after it ends, which takes a lot of time. See below image for an example:

There's no automatic process.

However, you can silence unwanted background noise by selecting those areas and hitting "Shift+S".

You can drag Fade-In and Fade-Out audio effects to the same area and the fade will span the entire distance selected.

That's unfortunate. Thanks for the additional tips. I hope TechSmith includes an automatic process for this in the future.

Hi, you should be able to trim the audio track just like you trim clips-hover your mouse over the beginning or end of the audio clip and when you get the double headed arrow drag the mouse to trim.
This is still a manual process but quicker than split & delete.
Hope this helps, Jayne

I'll take this into consideration and time both methods. Thanks for the tip.
