Camtasia 9 - Combining 2 projects to create a new one

Dear All,

I wanted to combine two projects together into a new one. I could not find an easy method to achieve this.

Here is what I am trying to do.

I have an intro file called 'Intro.tscproj' and also another exit file called 'Exit.tscproj'. I am happy with each and wanted to combine them into a new file I want to be called 'template.tscproj' and then use this when creating new projects.

1. How would you go about achieving this in Camtasia 9?

2. What steps would you encourage me to use?

So, in summary, it is File A + File B = File C

I have also looked here for a reference:

Any help would be very much appreciated. I hope this makes sense. Happy to clarify if needed.

Kind regards,

Hi Shiraz,

I think it's a great idea to have a template project!

You have several options, here's what I'd do:
Select all the media in File A, right click and Group. You could add that group to your Library or copy it.
Open File B, paste group from File A or add from the Library.
(To keep everything tidy consider grouping the media in File B before you add the Media from File A)

I hope this helps,

Hey Shiraz, lots of great suggestions here.  I have created a few deep-dive videos on Library Assets in Camtasia 9.  Check these out, they should help you appreciate the scope of what you can do:
