Camtasia 9 Crashes when I open recent project

I open Camtasia 9 and then upload a recent project and it says "Camtasia 9 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solutions is available.

Me too!  It is so aggravating  I did the update to 9.04.  Running Windows 10.  Have a project due in the morning and I'm about to deinstall Camtasia 9.  I wish it worked as well as v8 did.  I rebooted.  Same issue.

What I did do was import an already existing project into the media bin - right clicked to update and it opened the video - however the only problem with that is that it will not allow you to change it. Hope that helps a bit. :)

My V9 was crashing as soon as I tried to open a project.  I just went back to version 8, and deinstalled 9.  At least I know it will work, even though I had to start over on the project.  Wish you luck.

Oh boy so much work to redo then ! Right I am not downloading any more updates!!!!!

Got the same issue here! Looks like a part of the video which is loaded on the track, crashes when the thumbnail of that part is been loaded. Try to cut the part out where it crashes and quickly save the project again.

I'm having this same problem, and I am currently using version 9.0.5. Any time I open one specific project, the program stops responding and needs to be closed. Other projects are working fine, but this one is unable to be opened. I also can't import the project into a new project--that also causes the app to crash. Will I seriously have to start this project from scratch? That seems insane.
