Hi there !
I wanted to share my feedback after using Camtasia 9 (PC) vs 8.
Pros :
UI : great
No crash : good so far
Cons :
A lot slower than v8. Even my mouse is slow wehn playing (i'm using a Yoga900 , 16Gb, I7).
No additionnal useful function for me : Sync audio and video, 2x play or auto switch between 2 cams on regular basis.
The sharing on youtube is useless : no planning, no default desc from Youtube, no FB sharing.
The way I am using it is :
- import 1 or 2 video file (1 or 2 cams)
- import audio
- sync
- cut
- switch between cam 1 and cam 2 every 30 sec
- eventually tweaking like zoom or add text
- add intro / outro
- export
Camtasia 9 doesn't help me better than v8 to do that. Or maybe I can get explanations on how to better use Camtasia !
Some effort have been put on transition and other effects but I don't need that. It can look cheesy very easily.
I don't want to dimish the work that has been done but at the same time I am disappointed, I am doing that to help the team !
Thanks,

I know that there is always a learning curve with any major upgrade so I am being patient. I find Camtasia 9 to be so much less intuitive. Managing the properties of the annotations is cumbersome because I am sure that I am probable missing something that I should be doing. For example, If I need to edit the text box, I cannot. So I have to redo the entire text box. Resizing is also an issue. I cannot just drag the edges. I cannot just turn it with the green circle. Even when I right click edit properties, it doesn't let me. I have learned to find the correct properties screen on the right which is so much more complicated. But then, it moves my screen instead of the annotation even though that is what I have it set on. I do Camtasia videos for training Physicians so I work with it all day long. This new version is so cumbersome. I cant wait for more training tutorials that go into the details of things that you are perhaps assuming that we automatically know (like the above mentioned). Once I get used to it I am sure that I will love it but right now I am not a happy camper.

Yes you can. Works better to reduce size. What I do is start bigger and size down .
