Camtasia 9 freezing on launch

(I have sent in a ticket but am hoping someone can solve this before Monday).
I have been using Camtasia 9 without problem for 3 weeks. I used it this morning successfully, closed it, later tried to launch it again. It shows the splash screens, then the main screen appears, but at that point there is a blue circle infinitely turning, and you can't click on or activate any action in the program whatsoever. (I want to emphasize that I am NOT opening ANY project; when I launch the program, it does not show me the window which allows one to choose a previous project to open, Record the screen, New Project, etc.). So it can't be due to a corrupt project file.
I have tried rebooting; running the Repair from the installer; uninstalling and reinstalling (doing reinstall Keeping previous files,  and then Not Keeping previous files; full reinstall as well as Optional Reinstall where I only checked to put the icon on the desktop. I also tried renaming both my Library 3.0 and Library 2.0 folders to other names so that the Library 3.0 folder would be rebuilt from scratch (I was assuming perhaps the Library was corrupt and Camtasia was running into an infinite loop attempting to read the corrupt Library file). None of this has worked.

I would add a screenshot but I don't see how to do that short of putting it on Screencast.com and then a link to it. There isn't much point, it just looks like the usual main window, with "Camtasia 9 (not responding) as the window caption, and if you open Task Manager and look at the Details tab, it shows CamtasiaStudio.exe with a Status of "Not responding". Other applications on my computer are all working properly. I am running Windows 10 Anniversary Edition.

Nothing new shows up in Windows Event Viewer as an Error when I launch Camtasia 9. (There are 14 Errors in the last  hour, 13 of which are "AppModel-Runtime" one of which is Application Error of IEXPLORE.EXE (Internet Explorer), all of which were there before I launch Camtasia 9; the list doesn't change after I launch Camtasia 9 & it freezes.

After multiple attempts at launching and multiple reboots I am now able to launch Camtasia 9 without freezing. I am wondering if their server was offline and my computer was perhaps attempting to contact it in order to determine if I were a registered user. I have no other theories at this point but await feedback on my ticket.

Your theory made me curious.
I disconnected from the internet and had no problem launching Cam 9 as a result.

Maybe Windows updated something?

My Windows Update history indicates that it last installed an update on November 9, whereas the problem occurred on November 12 and again this morning on November 13 initially.  I did not voluntarily install any other updates to any of my software recently, although I cannot exclude the possibility that something could have been installed in the background. Nevertheless, the problem persisted for almost 24 hours and I tested  many times throughout the 24-hour period without being able to launch Camtasia. I also had Internet access throughout that entire period on my computer so it wasn't a situation in which my computer was failing to access the Internet.
